Servers, speed and security are part of delivery

I do not finish the software and say “you handle the server”. A slow, unsafe or backup-less handoff is not a handoff. Servers and infrastructure are the next sentence of the code: Linux, SSL, backups, cache, monitoring.

What I set up

• SSL, redirects, HTTP/2, compression.
• Backups: files + data, with a restore test.
• Cache and images: first paint drops, ads do not burn.
• Logs: keep what the law and the business need, drop the rest.

Security is not theatre

Updates, roles, passwords, form protection, panel locks. Not a shiny shield icon — a door that stays shut. The panel on kahramanertan.com was written with the same discipline.

Speed is sales. Security is sleep. Both are in the price.

If your current server is limping, moving it is also my work. Write the state and I will tell you what to throw away.

Why together with the software?

The “hosting guy vs developer” game only finds someone to blame. I keep both in the same hands. If it is slow, I look. If it is down, I bring it up.

Logs and backups

Needed logs stay; junk data does not grow. A backup is not a copy until a restore has been tried. I write that into the delivery list.
